In the Preface to the Allegory [Hinds' Feet on High Places] Hannah Hurnard writes:
"The Song of Songs expresses the desire implanted in every human heart, to be reunited with God himself, and to know perfect and unbroken union with him. It is God's will that some of his children would learn this deep union with himself through the perfect flowering of natural human love in marriage. This instinct for love, so firmly implanted in the human heart, is the supreme way by which we learn to desire and love God himself above all else."
Hurnard’s sentiment expressly most profoundly why I write what I write.Through my stories I seek, first and foremost, to glorify God.Of course, I wish for you to be amused and entertained as well! But if just one person is brought one step closer to God by reading one of my stories, I will count myself blessed indeed.
